Family Frolics at Powell Gardens are a signature event offering activities, performances and learning for all ages. The theme of this event is Fortopia, scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12. Volunteers are needed to help with the following:
- Assist kids as they build their own fort and/or flag.
- Guide nature hikes along the Family Discovery Loop.
- Teach kids and adults how to make basic knots.
11 volunteers are needed each day; five for each shift plus 1 nature hike shift. The AM shift lasts from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the PM shift lasts from 1-5 p.m. The nature hike shift is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please arrive 15-minutes before your shift starts for training.
Dress is casual and please your Powell Gardens name tag or branded clothing if you have any. Additional notes:
- Volunteers who serve for both the AM & PM shifts in one day will receive a complimentary meal.
