Volunteer Opportunity: Orchid Symposium

Join us in supporting a beautiful day dedicated to orchids at Powell Gardens! We are seeking volunteers to assist during our annual Orchid Symposium, a special event welcoming orchid enthusiasts of all levels.
Volunteers will help with event hospitality, including assisting with breakfast and lunch service, helping guests navigate the event, and supporting staff as needed to ensure the day runs smoothly.
Guests will start the morning with a welcome breakfast followed by engaging presentations about orchid care, conservation, and design. This year we are excited to welcome Steve Buback, who will share insights on Missouri’s native orchids.
After a lunch buffet, attendees will enjoy a guided walking tour of Orchid Delirium and a conversation about orchid care with Lead Horticulturist Brent Tucker.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a vibrant horticultural event while helping create a welcoming experience for our guests.
