As a Vestibule Monitor, you’ll play a vital role in protecting our beautiful butterflies and creating an unforgettable guest experience.

Check-In Details:
When you arrive, please check in at the Visitor Center. Either the Manager on Duty or a member of the Development Team will greet you at the Membership Table in the Grand Hall, assist with sign-in, and guide you to the staff/volunteer breakroom, where you will receive two admission passes as a thank-you for your support!
What You’ll Do:
• Monitor and regulate exhibit doors to ensure butterflies stay safe and secure
• Protect the butterfly and plant exhibits from accidental damage
• Share educational highlights with guests—materials provided, no prior knowledge required!
Why It Matters:
You’ll help guests of all ages enjoy an up-close experience with both tropical and native butterflies, all while supporting conservation, education, and a deep appreciation for Midwest pollinators.
Important Info:
• Must be at least 14 years old to volunteer
• All volunteers must complete a required USDA Butterfly Training Video.
• Sign up for one shift or as many as you’d like—your help is truly appreciated!
