Volunteer: Parking Partner – Dark Forest 2026 (Team Sign-Up Only)

Parking Partners help welcome guests and keep traffic moving by directing vehicles and assisting guests as they arrive at Powell Gardens. Team members should be prepared to work outdoors and in different areas of the parking operation as needed.

Teams of at least six (6) individuals can earn $1 per vehicle parked, with some exclusions, a minimum of $300 per shift for their nonprofit, school, or community organization.

Shift: 5–10 p.m.

RequirementsAll volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.Teams must include at least six (6) individuals.All team members must be available for the designated rain dates.To participate, groups must complete and return a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) and W-9 to Powell Gardens at least one week before their scheduled shift(s). This paperwork is required to confirm your group’s participation.Dates

October 16–17, 22–24, and 30–31
Rain Dates: The designated rain date for each scheduled event day will be the following Sunday.

Team Leader Responsibilities

Each team will designate a Team Leader who will be responsible for coordinating the group and serving as the primary point of contact.

If a team member is unable to attend, the Team Leader is responsible for finding a replacement to ensure the team remains fully staffed.

Fundraising Perk

Parking Partners can earn $1 per vehicle parked, with some exclusions, with a minimum of $300 per shift for the nonprofit, school, or community organization of your choice.

This is a great way to raise funds while welcoming guests and supporting Powell Gardens and your community group.

Inclement Weather

Dark Forest is an outdoor event and may be impacted by weather conditions. If inclement weather requires cancellation, the Manager on Duty will contact the Team Leader directly.

All volunteers must be available on the designated rain dates before signing up.

Additional PerksEach volunteer receives two complimentary “Admit One” passes to Powell Gardens for each completed volunteer shift (complimentary passes do not include admission to Dark Forest).
